One of my favourate parts of Christmas is the wrapping up of the gifts. This is probably a lot to do with the fact that I have come to terms, finally, with what I can afford to get and who I can afford to get for that Christmas. I’ve made my peace with the thoughts of those I have probably let down, yet again. I’ve sworn that one day…one day I will have enough to afford presents for all. It’s now time to eat all the naughty chocolate treats everyone’s been plying you with. For it seems that with Christmas comes endless tubs of Quality Street, Roses, Heros, Ferrero Roche’s and the like. While the wrapping is going on you can’t help but reach for a sneaky chocolate or too. Inevitably, at some point it will all become more about the eating than the wrapping and as your wrapping skills diminish with each present don’t beat yourself up too much. They’ll only rip it to pieces when they open it anywhere.
And hey, Santa’s here!…well, two of him? or perhaps three? depends on how much of that bubbly you’ve had so far. Please, do be careful with those scissors!
