This was my attempt to make an unsettling but intriguing, victorian-esque room. It’s filled with all sorts of knick Knacks. I didn’t want it to be too dark as typically I would usually have taken this in night lighting. I thought that having it still be light would make it feel just as unsettling. I had so much fun too. I am very thankful to have been able to have these many items at my disposal to set it up. I’m very grateful for that.
I’m going to say it. I absolutely adore the dress. It goes without saying. I think it’s beautiful but I have such a soft spot for these sorts of dresses. I would dress like this all day everyday if I could get a way with it. The hair is also so cute! it’s how I have my hair in real life a lot but I’ve never tried a straight fringe, only because it doesn’t suit my face shape. I can only get away with a side fringe. I have always loved straight bangs though and I envy people that can carry it off. It turns out that includes my avatar. Who would have thought.
The welcome sign is great, I love it in here with all the eccentricity going on. I feel like at some point it was stolen from a place that gave a lot less pause than this place does.
Naturally, I couldn’t then leave the post without taking images of the decor. Not when everything looks so good to me so I’ve included a couple extra shots. It would just have been so sad if I hadn’t. The mist is provided by Lagom and if you look closely there are little hearts inside. So pretty, something unusual for such a scene but as far as I’m concerned really works.
